About At Large
Background:
At Large was founded in 1930 to meet the needs of health care professionals who wanted access to resources provided by the American Hospital Association. As other personal membership groups formed that had an emphasis on more specialized disciplines such as material management, engineering, human resources, volunteers, risk managers, environmental services, marketing and strategy; individuals wanted to remain engaged with At Large because it afforded them a variety of resources that included all health care professions.

At Large Defined:
At Large is a Personal Membership Group (PMG) of the American Hospital Association (AHA) that comprises professionals who have come together for education, resources, networking and advocacy.  They share a deep passion for health care and the challenges that impact the industry.  At Large members range from new-in-career to C-Suite practitioners who wish to enrich their careers and give back to their professions.

Member Demographics
At Large members are extremely loyal. More than 75 percent have been members for 10 years or more. The typical member is an executive level professional, works in a health care setting and has been working in the health care field for over 20 year.
